Thanks for pulling this out of the archives. What a refreshing and frank outlook on life, politics, and Canada's situation. Maybe it's time for an update. Among other things, one wonders how his view of the UN's utility/credibility has evolved, given the losing battle against the climate crisis, or the inability to hold Israel accountable for the crimes in Gaza and West Bank.
Sadly the rule of law as applied by left wing progressives like Bob Rae means that Canadians are not all equal before the law. Rather the law is applied according to each individual 's membership in a victim or ethnic group.
I have always had a high regard for Bo Rae, despite his NDP walk in the dark. His comment on the UK & Brexit shines a bright light on Trump's current isolationist policies and behaviour that will have negative consequences for the USA for decades to come.
I appreciate your bringing this interview to light. I'll share it.

Bob Rae is a gem. Talks the way it is. Infused with wisdom and life experience. Disciplined.
Three years later, one wonders what his take is on Trump and Carney.
